Description
WhatsApp Web has been released for all platforms, or rather, for almost all platforms, and is that iPhone users were met with an unpleasant surprise, WhatsApp Web does not work for iPhone, the company says is “due to Apple limitations”, but, what kind of limitations can impede us to enjoy of WhatsApp on our PC?.
The problem arises because WhatsApp Web is not a native application, it is a web application, so we could say that it is a mirror of the application we have installed on our device, as is the fact that we must have the application running on our mobile to use it in our computer. So the mobile device operates as a server.
So, iPhone multitasking is totally incompatible and a limitation for the WhatsApp web application, and is that the way how iOS applications run in the background are very limited, so if WhatsApp gets in the background, would be unable to send messages that reach us WhatsApp.
We will have WhatsApp Web for iPhone someday? Well, many things should change or Apple must to improve the way that iOS applications run in the background, or that WhatsApp create a native web application, both are quite unlikely in the short term.
This is an nonsense decision as Whatsapp can develop a web version for iOS users which just utilize the contact list of whatsapp. So if you send msg via desktop, it will NEVER be appeared on your mobile phone. If you want to store it, just send it to your email.
Or another way is, iOS user have to open whatsapp and disable autolock function. It’s nearly the same as the android users, right?
That’s not true. Wechat use the same method of authentication, a web server chat mirror AND it works with its app backgrounded. WhatsApp didn’t like iOS since long time and they just don’t care about having iphone users on board in this particular issue. Just stupid ego wars.
