We have more news about WhatsApp, and is that is preparing to perform backups in the cloud, as we can read in the translations, have been implemented backups and restores from Google Drive, the storage service in cloud from Google. It seems that begin to make sense all the icons found time ago inside the Google+ app.
At the moment we have only found references of Google Drive in the translations of WhatsApp for Android, although we guess that will be the first platform that will have this service, and then deploy it to other platforms such as iOS, Windows Phone and BlackBerry.
WhatsApp will save it (almost) everything in Google Drive
As we can see from the suggestions of translations of WhatsApp for Android, we can save almost everything in Google Drive, except videos, besides choose how often you want to make the backups, either monthly, weekly or daily.
No doubt this will be a big step for WhatsApp, because it will allow us to save some space on your device, besides to always have a backup of all our conversations, very useful in case of loss of our device.
