WhatsApp will have a unicorn, and more, as emoticons

WhatsApp, like other instant messaging services and apps, must be ready to receive the new emoticons that people of Unicode prepares. It has already been known that among them will be a unicorn, plus a taco and a piece of cheese. And this is only one example of a long list of new emoticons that are coming.

No less than 37 new emoticons will arrive in a few months to WhatsApp by Unicode 9, the latest version is being prepared with the final emoticons that will arrive to Android, iOS and Windows Phone operating systems. It seems that this will be the final result after a year receiving requests of all kinds and that some of the existing emoticons are to be modified to suit the keyboards of the devices of different brands on the market.

All these new emojis already begun to appear in some on mobile devices from Apple, that since the iOS 8.3 version has already shown some of the work that had been made from Unicode and so we could see the emoticons that represent different races. But also will reach others emoticons like the face with eyes in white, a nerd face or a lion face. Now we have to see developments and changes that the developers will introduce.
