WhatsApp for Android has been updated in Google Play to the new version 2.17.254, an update that comes loaded with news, with some very interesting, like the possibility of send documents of any type, among other novelties that we comment to you next.
One of the advantages of send documents of any type is that it gives us the possibility of being able to share images without losing quality, since to share them of normal form they are compressed and lose quality. This way now the only limit when sending a file now is the size, which can not exceed 100 MB. To send any file simply open a chat and click on “Attach> Document”.

But the possibility of send documents of any type is not the only novelty that brings the new stable version of WhatsApp for Android, and is that we can do a fast scroll through the multimedia gallery, for that we just have to press the new button that appears in the top right (two arrows pointing to both sides) and without releasing it we can go down and up very quickly through our files, indicating the date they were recorded on our device.
Another new feature is the ability to report Spam in groups, as you can see in the screenshots below, and also be able to report as spam to a known contact. What we do not know for sure is what happens if we report a group as spam, will they close the group or block all the contacts in the reported group?. Be careful and watch out for this new function.
It has also improved the user interface when making voice calls or video calls. As you can see in the screenshot below when making a voice call now the image of our contact will appear at the top of the top, just like in the video calls, in addition to darken the image.
As you can see, all features have already been commented on the beta versions of WhatsApp for Android, but with this new update are finally available to all users who prefer to use the stable version of the application. Maybe we miss the emojis browser, a feature that is available in the beta version of WhatsApp Android.
