WhatsApp for Android is updated with two new icons

The latest version of WhatsApp for Android, in its beta version, is now available on Google Play. Specifically it is the new version 2.17.232, an update that as in the previous updates comes without apparent changes, although it does bring some changes internally.

As we have been commenting on the previous updates, WhatsApp hides many new hidden functions for the normal user, and maybe next week we can start to see some of them activated in the beta as they are still working on them.

Internal changes of WhatsApp for Android

Internally the APK installation file of WhatsApp for Android has not noticed a significant change in its size, and it has only increased by 3 KB, but these 3 KB give for a lot, 520 files have been modified and 2 new icons have been added: “btn_download_dark.png” and “btn_upload_dark.png”, buttons with the typical black loading and unloading arrows.

Among the files modified in the application we see that it continues working on new functions, still hidden and disabled,uch as real-time location, albums and filters of multimedia files, revoke sent messages, the emoji browser and Text Status …
