WhatsApp and its emoticons can become a symbol and a reference if we talk about specific countries. According to a recent study, each country uses certain emoticons more often, which could be indicative of their culture and way of approaching life.
This study was conducted by the developer Swiftkey, and he is coming to confirm a stereotype of what Spain is, or at least, as they see us from outside, even from within Spain. In our country, the WhatsApp users often use emoticons referring to the party and fun. And if we continue with stereotypes, the users of the instant messaging service in France often choose emoticons depicting love, using hearts and symbols of marriage.
A curious fact, and that contradicts what we may think of the people who live in countries like the US and Canada, is that North Americans use in WhatsApp many emotions about women, homosexuals or technology, while Canadians are opting for emoticons of weapons or money.
But something very important and this study highlights is that all WhatsApp users in the world mostly always prefers to use happy faces.
