WhatsApp allowed to recover deleted photos thanks to a bug

WhatsApp seems to show a new fault which may endanger the images that users of the instant messaging service exchanged. This can facilitate the recovery of images that have been previously deleted by users.

As far as we know, the images that are exchanged within WhatsApp not have any encryption or security. This brings the possibility that images can be recovered even if they are deleted from the smartphone and have access to them due to a bug that was found in the application. All this theory is demonstrated through a video that has done a service user of the instant messaging.

The video shows how this user upload a picture from the smartphone and then delete it, although this picture is still seen in the online version of the instant messaging service. Then attempts to enter service servers, and the picture continued there and also you can download it without too much trouble.

This is a very serious bug of WhatsApp, which exposes very important information of all users. The company needs to check the security seriously, something that is already receiving much criticism.
