Description
Instagram has not been able to keep the new functions it is preparing secret once the @wongmjane user has brought to light a part of the source code that shows that among other things the social network will soon have usage statistics. Kevin Systrom, CEO and founder of the service, has used his Twitter account to confirm all this information.
And what has most attracted the attention of all the functions that have come to light, is the one called Usage Insights, found in the APK code of the Instagram version for Android, which is the tool that will tell us how we use Instagram. But that’s not all there is to it, as user Wong has managed to reveal other secrets that those responsible for the application have yet to reveal.
It’s true. RT @TechCrunch: Code buried in Instagram’s Android app reveals a “Usage Insights” feature that will show users their “time spent” https://t.co/1Lt3DgIFEj

New features for Instagram
We already know, although they have not confirmed it since Instagram, apart from these statistics of use, other functions that we are going to find in a very short time. This would be the complete list, according to the source code that the @wongmjane user has brought to light:
- Button to open Facebook directly inside Instagram
- A new Emoji Bar inside the comments section, so we can quickly comment with the most popular emoticon
- A new @ button integrated directly into the comments section
- The option to respond to Instagram notifications directly from the Instagram notification bar
- Share Instagram stories directly on Facebook
This is all that is known, although there is no news of when the people of Instagram will launch all these interesting new developments.
