Description
WhatsApp for Android is surely the application that takes up the most space in the storage of our smartphone, especially if we have a huge amount of contacts, and therefore chat groups that end up full of files of all kinds that do not serve us anything. What we need to do is learn how to delete all the files in WhatsApp for Android, freeing up space as simply and quickly as possible so that everything flows smoothly.
And to achieve this now we don’t need to use third-party applications that end up taking up a space we want to free up. Within the settings of the same WhatsApp for Android we are going to find a very effective system to get rid of those conversations, photos, videos, audio notes and other files that do nothing but get in the way and to which we no longer pay attention.
How to delete files in WhatsApp for Android
To free up space in WhatsApp for Android from our mobile device storage simply go to Settings. From there we’ll go to Data and Storage usage, and from there we’ll end up with Storage Usage. When we get to this section of the application we will be able to see all the conversations we have had and the space they are taking up on our smartphone. Now we will have to select that conversation that we want to empty of unnecessary content by clicking on it, so we can see the files and the space they occupy.
Now we press MANAGE MESSAGES and we have to deselect all the files that we don’t want to delete, since by default they are all selected in the application. Clicking on the ones we want to keep on our device, and then clicking on CLEAR MESSAGES, we will stay on WhatsApp for Android with those files that really interest us the most, removing what is in the way inside the instant messaging application.
