New update for WhatsApp for Android, in its Beta version, which is updated to the new version 2.12.16, an update that as usual without official list of new features, but increases its APK in more than 300 KB, which means much new code, is that 290 files have been modified and added 13 new files, many changes for a simple upgrade.

Among the 13 new files we found two new icons called “common_full_open_phone” and “call_unavailable“, as you can see below. Other new files refer to Google Drive, as activity, preferences, etc, and voice calls, specifically to not allow them.

This version of WhatsApp for Android it’s not yet available from Google Play, so you must go to the official website and download the App and install the APK to your device. Notice that this beta version is not exempt from mistakes. We remind you that since the previous stable versions is available WhatsApp Web to chat from your computer, and also now we can activate Voice Calls receiving a call from someone who already has activated.
